We all want our Labradoodle to be healthy and without pain in their hips & elbows. We screen our dogs to minimise the chances of heritable diseases and joint problems.
As an ethical and responsible breeder, we provide a full copy of our Health Guarantee and Purchase Agreement when we accept your application. If your puppy exhibits a chronic or serious health diagnosis evidenced by a veterinarian within 21 days, you may immediately return them, and the purchase price will be refunded. Conditions apply.
Hip & Elbow Dysplasia
At around 12 months our dogs undergo health testing of their hips and elbows. This involves an x-ray and AVA and PennHIP analysis. Having good scores on these tests give us confidence that our puppies will have a low/mild risk of hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. It is important to be aware that hips and elbows also require a healthy lifestyle including keeping an ideal weight and limiting jumping and running on slippery surfaces prior to bones maturing (approx. 18 months).
Heritable Diseases
Our dogs are DNA screened for testable diseases associated with both Labrador and Poodle breeds. Below is an example of a test dated February 2024.
